Mrs. Linda Sue Venable Mills

Mrs. Linda Sue Venable Mills, age 54 of Mt. Airy passed away on Tuesday, July 05, 2011 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Mills was born in Surry on August 14, 1956 to Mary Lou Hooker Venable and the late Walter Keith Venable. Mrs. Mills was employed by the Mt. Airy City School System and a member of Christ Community Church in Mt. Airy. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Sarah Lynn Mills of Boone, NC and special friend, John Sparks; her mother, Mary Lou Hooker Venable of Mt. Airy; a brother and sister-in-law, Monty and Mary Venable of Mt. Airy; nephews, Keith Venable and wife, Emily, Kevin Venable and wife, Carrie, and Chase Weathers all of Mt. Airy, William Haas and wife, Michelle of Charlotte; Rusty Mills and wife, Cindy of Gettysburg, PA, Corey Gammons of Mt. Airy; great nieces and nephews, Rylan Venable, Kylie Venable, Sidney Kate Venable, Embree Claire Venable, Jessica Mills, Alex Haas and Andrew Mills; sisters-in-law, Faye Haas of Mt. Airy and Gail Gammons and husband, Bobby all of Mt. Airy; brother-in-law, Ray Mills and wife Patricia of Littlestown, PA; three very special cousins, Cynthia Gillispie of Dobson, Sheri Martin of Mt. Airy and Lynn Temple of Augusta, GA. In addition to her father, Mrs. Mills was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Anthony Mills. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 8, 2011 at Simmons Grove Baptist Church by Dr. David Brady. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 7, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
