Mrs. Linda Frances Simpson

Linda Frances Sprinkle Simpson, 73 of Dobson peacefully left her earthly home Monday, May 7, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born in Surry County on March 15, 1945 to Culbert Craig and  Magdalene Callahan Sprinkle, who preceded her in death as well as a brother Billy Guy Sprinkle, a sister Leila Ann Sprinkle Mayes, and a grandson Jacob Chance Beck.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Curtis Dale Simpson, her daughters Karen Simpson Lynch (Robbie White) of Dobson, and Tracy Lynn Simpson Lindsey and husband Lewie of Pearisburg, VA. Grandchildren: Garrett Bullard, Logan Lynch, Breigh Lindsey and Tucker Lindsey. Brothers and Sisters: Frank Sprinkle, Lucille Sprinkle Riggans, Craig and Norma Sprinkle, Steve and Doris Sprinkle Pratt, Dirk and Iris Sprinkle Apt, Ronnie and Kathy Sprinkle, Richard and Jackie Sprinkle Collins, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She worked in manufacturing until she found her love of caring for children and adults with disabilities. She was a faithful member of Cross Roads Baptist Church as long as her health would allow. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning, and spending time with her family. She loved to laugh and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, who will truly be missed.

Visitation will be at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson NC on Wednesday night May 9, 2018 from 6pm to 8pm. Services will be held at Cross Roads Baptist Church on Cross Roads Church Road in Dobson by Reverend Jeff Wall and Reverend Alton Bledsoe on Thursday May 10, 2018 at 11 am. She will lie in state 30 mins prior to the service.
