Mrs. Linda Pell Vinson

Mrs. Linda Pell Vinson, 85 of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday July 2, 2011 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Vinson was born in Surry County on March 4, 1926 to the late William Roy and Ethel Simmons Pell. She was a retired school teacher in the Surry County School System and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mt. Airy. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Ernestine Vinson Northcott of Woodland; a brother-in-law, William Harvey Vinson, Jr. and wife Dorothy of Naples, Florida; niece, Gwen Northcott of Woodland; nephew, Jon Northcott and wife Judi of Murfreesboro; great niece, Stephanie Northcott of Murfreesboro; several cousins and special friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vinson was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Stephenson Vinson. Funeral services will be held Monday July 4, 2011 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Mt. Airy with Dr. Roger Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in the Westfield Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 AM until time for the service at First Baptist Church.
