Mrs. Lola Mae Sparger Miller, age 90 of Pilot Mountain, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born in Surry County on October 30, 1925 to the late William Nathaniel and Roxie Reeves Sparger. Mrs. Miller was retired from Adams Millis and was a longtime member of Rockford Street United Methodist Church for over 60 years. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bing and Judy Miller; grandchildren and spouses, Katie Pardue and husband Adam, Will Miller and wife Amanda; greatgrandchildren, Finley Graham Miller, Lane Wesson Pardue, and Reagan Mae Pardue; a brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Jerry Sparger and Dona; a niece, Sandra Fulk Mosley; a nephew, Derek Sparger; many great nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Miller, Sr.; sisters, Carrie Sparger, Imogene Fulk, Audrey Sparger, and Lena Bruland; a brother, John Sparger. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Rockford Street United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jack Danley officiating. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
