Mrs. Lorene Dalton Hopkins

Lorene Dalton Hopkins, “Bug” by family and friends, departed this life on January 12, 2018. She was a member of Starling Avenue Baptist Church and had been church secretary for several years before retiring. She loved Antiques, Myrtle Beach, her pet Squirrels, and decorating her home. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Garland Hopkins; her parents, Foster and Belva Dalton; and a sister, Lynda Marie Dalton.

She is survived by her son, Christopher Hopkins of Roanoke, VA; a grandson, Jordon Hopkins of Spencer, VA; a brother, Arlie Dalton of Willis, VA; two sisters, Lois Smith of Roanoke, VA, Essie Handy of Ridgeway, VA; three nephews; two nieces; one great niece; and one great-great niece.

Funeral services will be Monday, January 22, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Sycamore Baptist Church, Stuart, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
