Mrs. Louette Boyd Bolen

Mrs. Louette Boyd Bolen, age 88 of Cana, VA passed away Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Heritage Hall-Laurel Meadows. Mrs. Bolen was born in Patrick County on December 21, 1923 to the late Charles Harvey and Sarah Gwynn Boyd. She was retired from Spencers Incorporated. She is survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, Josie B. and Roy Epperson, Annie B. Johnson all of Ararat, VA, Judy B. and Jimmy Johnson of Walkertown, NC, Margaret Boyd and David Brown of Winston-Salem, NC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clark and Shirley Boyd of Ararat, VA, Donald N. and Christa Boyd of Fayetteville, NC; a step daughter, Sheila Bolen Jackson and husband, Randy of South Carolina; several step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bolen was preceded in death by her husband, James Carlyle Bolen; four brothers, Jessie, Monroe, Roger and Clifford Boyd. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, February 5, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. The family would like to give their deep appreciation to the staff of Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows for the love and care given to Mrs. Bolen.
