Mrs. Loveda Helms Hylton

Mrs. Loveda Helms Hylton, age 81 of Meadows of Dan, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Pioneer Community Hospital. She was born in Floyd County on January 1, 1932 to the late Rufus Frazier Helms and Emma Cruise Helms. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hylton was preceded in death by her first husband, Lemuel Belcher, and three brothers, Coy, Glenn and Earnest Helms. She attended Conner's View Primitive Baptist Church, and was retired from J.P. Stevens.
Mrs. Hylton is survived by her husband of 40 years, Donald Hylton of the home; two step-daughters, Crista Walker and husband, Mark of Stuart, Susan Hylton of Martinsville; a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy H. and Lois Belcher of Meadows of Dan; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Claude Helms of Meadows of Dan, Fred and Lucille Helms of Woolwine, Evona Helms of Meadows of Dan; and several nephews and a niece.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hylton will be held Friday, March 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Conner's View Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Edward Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church, and at other times at the home.
