Mrs. Lucille Mae "Lue" Jones

Mrs. Lucille Mae “Lue” Jones, 86, of Cana passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Waddell Nursing Home in Galax, VA. She was born in Carroll County, VA on May 17, 1930 to the late Clavis and Georgia Willard Deatherage. She worked along with her husband driving a truck delivering produce and they were co-owners and operators of a produce market in Cana. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Larnette and Mark Snow, a son-in-law, Joey Bobbitt; grandchildren and spouses, Meegan and Johnny Goins, Joe Utt, Dr. Sarah Sumers and Todd Summers, PhD., Kyle and Randi Snow; great grandchildren, Majestic Utt, Gabriel Snow, Luke Summers, Grayson Snow, and great-great grandchildren, Hunter and Kyrsten Collins a sister-in-law; Judy Deatherage. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Colon Jones; a daughter, Judy Bobbitt; and a brother, Doug Deatherage. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Epworth United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 132 Cana, VA 24317.
