Mrs. Lucy West Harris

Mrs. Lucy West Harris, age 86 of Stuart passed away Saturday morning at Pioneer Community Hospital in Stuart. She was born on April 24, 1923 in Patrick County to the late Andrew Elridge West and Ada Martin West. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Maude and Chloe West; four brothers, Isaac, Russell, Roy, and Guy West; and twin infant siblings. She was a member of Providence United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Early H. Harris of the home; a sister, Elva Wood of Ridgeway; a twin brother, Levi West of Stuart; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 1, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Revs. David Westmoreland and Bernard Handy officiating.
