Mrs. Lucy Gladys Guynn Ogle

Mrs. Lucy Gladys Guynn Ogle age 86 of 1168 Cherry Crest Dr., Cana, VA widow of Mr. Henry Ogle passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 at her home. She was born March 30, 1927 in Surry County, NC to the late Luke and Frances Guynn. She was retired from Spencer's Inc. and was a member of oak Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Louise and Clifton Thomas, Ararat, VA, Helen and Wade McMillian, Cana, VA, and Sherry and Stanley Holt Mt. Airy, NC, three sons and daughters-in-law, Herbert and Carlene Ogle, Ararat, VA, Lefty and Tammy Ogle, Cana, VA and Terry Ogle of the home. six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Ogle was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Ann Ogle and a brother, Willie Guynn. Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The services will be onducted by Rev. Emmett Crotts. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home. Moody Funeral Service in Mt. Airy is assisting the Ogle family.
