Mrs. Luvina Burnette Dalton

Mrs. Luvina Burnette Dalton, age 93 of Laurel Fork, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013 at the Landmark Center in Stuart. She was born in Floyd County on January 31, 1920 to the late Charles T. and Lillie Nester Burnette. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dalton was preceded in death by her husband, Sparrell Dalton; one daughter, Betty Lou Skeens; one grandson, Allen McGrady; three brothers; and three sisters. She was a member of Reed Island Springs Baptist Church in Meadows of Dan.
Mrs. Dalton is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Iris McGrady of Martinsville, Phyllis A. and Gary Flippin of Mount Airy, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Wesley McGrady, Jr. and wife, Phyllis, Mike Skeens and wife, Terrina, Kristy Jones and husband, Kevin, Mandy Grotjan and husband, Daniel, and Dylan Flippin; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dalton will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Mike Skeens officiating. Burial will be private.
