Mrs. Mable Lee Tate

Mrs. Mable Lee Tate, 65, of Cana, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. She was born in Carroll County on October 6, 1951 to the late McKinley Reynolds and Daisy Bell Tolley Dalton. She worked with Basset Furniture for many years. Mrs. Tate was a loving wife, mother and friend, and faithful member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Junior Tate; a daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Eric Marion; a son and daughter-in-law, Vance Junior and Melanie Tate; grandchildren, Brandon Keith Tate and wife, Miranda, Jonathan Tate and fiancée, Renee Inman, Cody Tate and fiancée, Portia Childress, Tyler Tate, Dylan Tate, Jasmine Marion, Ashleigh Marion; great grandchildren, Bethany Tate, Colton Tate and Kayden Tate; a sister, Freda Rakes; brothers Harold Dalton, Dean Dalton and wife, Shelby, Ronnie Dalton and wife, Harriett, Jerry Dalton and wife, Imogene, Ricky Dalton and fiancée, Bertha Martin, Earl Dalton; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tate was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Ellen Dalton and a brother, Jimmy Lee Dalton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Solid Rock Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Quesinberry and Bro. Zack Crissman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 12:00 until 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Moody Funeral Home, P.O.
