Mrs. Macy May Bowman

Mrs. Macy May Bowman, age 88 of Stuart passed away Saturday at her home. She was born on July 28, 1923 in Patrick County to the late Yance Ellis Bowman and Rosie Ann Branch Bowman. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Noeddie Bowman; a step daughter, Linda Moore; a great grandson, Erik Rorrer; two brothers, Reid and Edgar Bowman; and four infant brothers and sisters. Mrs. Bowman was a Nurses Aid at RJR Memorial Hospital and was a member of Five Forks Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are her son, Lewis Bowman of Stuart; five grandchildren, Lisa Buckner, Dwayne Bowman, Jeannie Holmes, L.J. Moore, Katie Moore; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Mabel Hiatt and Margaret Bowman both of Stuart; and a special friend, Bill Dillon of Stuart.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Revs. Gary Combs and Bernard Handy officiating. Burial will follow at Mary Horner Walker Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Macy M.
