Mrs. Margaret Ann Moxley Scruggs

Mrs. Margaret Ann Moxley Scruggs, age 85 of Stuart, and formerly of Newport News, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011 at the Landmark Center in Stuart. She was born in Welch, West Virginia on January 13, 1926 to the late R. K. and Virginia Gibson Moxley. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Scruggs was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Scruggs; one son, Kenneth Rorrer; and two brothers, Jim and Bill Moxley.
Mrs. Scruggs is survived by two sons, Grover R. Rorrer and wife, Sadie of Yorktown, Edward Rorrer and wife, Pat of Maryland; one daughter, Peggy Ann Hall and husband, Mike of Stuart; one daughter-in-law, Nancy Rorrer of Hampton; four grandchildren, Tim Rorrer, Mike Rorrer, Jamie Holt and Lisa Holt; five step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sixteen step-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held for Mrs. Scruggs Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Patrick Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jim Churchwell officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
