Mrs. Margaret Meadows Secrest

Mrs. Margaret Meadows Secrest age 89 of Mt. Airy, NC widow of Mr. Harless Secrest passed away Friday, September 27, 2013 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. She was born in Forsyth County to the late Ollie Ray and Laura Jane Hunter Meadows. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Jeanette and John Starbuck of Pinnacle, a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Evelyn Secrest, of Dobson, , several nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Secrest was preceded in death by four sisters, Ethel Secrest, Kathleen Maxey, Mozelle Dowell, Annie Ezersky, a brother, Rev .Lee O. Meadows, a half sister, Nancy Roberts, Temple, GA, and a half brother, Jimmy Meadows, Atlanta, GA. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, September 30. 2013 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Gary Sawyers. Burial will follow in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1:00 pm Monday until time of the service at Moody Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017. The family would like to thank the staff of the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, Golden Living, and "special" thanks to the ladies at Twelve Oaks Assisted Living for their loving care for the last seven years. Margaret loved each one of you dearly.
