Mrs. Margaret Gerene Turner

Ms. Margaret Gerene Turner, age 71 of Silver Spring, Maryland, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring. She was born in Patrick County on August 24, 1945 to the late Harvey and Josephine Mills Turner. In addition to her parents, Ms. Turner was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Elzene Tatum and Mary Eloise Foddrell; and two brothers, Robert Lee Turner and Murray Alfonzo “Babe” Turner.

Ms. Turner is survived by a daughter, Margaret Genell Turner of Silver Spring, two sisters, Betty J. Vaughan of Adelphi, Maryland and Brenda Williams of Tacoma Park, Maryland; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Elder Melton Roberson officiating. Burial will follow in the Hylton Thessalonia Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. A wake will be held Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
