Mrs. Margaret Wood Turner

Mrs. Margaret Wood Turner, age 78 of Meadows of Dan passed away Thursday at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Patrick County on Feb. 5, 1935 to the late Joseph Clyde Wood and Maggie Reynolds Wood.
Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Glenn E. Turner of the home; one daughter, Brenda Turner and husband, Mark Crook of Meadows of Dan; two sons, Clyde Turner and wife, Josee of Dumfries, Douglas Turner of Meadows of Dan; nine grandchildren, Joseph Maloney III, Michael Maloney, Kathy Maloney, Kevin Turner, Daniel Turner, Christopher Turner, Alex Turner, Tiffany Turner, Victoria Turner; two great grandchildren, Makayla Maloney, Sydney McCormick; and two brothers, Benton Wood of Stuart, and Marlin Wood of Bassett.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Marcus Wood officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadows of Dan Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Vesta Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 911, Meadows of Dan, VA 24120 or to the Meadows of Dan Fire Dept., P.O. Box 830, Meadows of Dan, VA 24120.
