Mrs. Margie Carter Cooper

Ms. Margie Carter Cooper, age 81 of Stuart, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Stuart. She was born in Patrick County on July 19, 1930 to the late Arthur and Vergie Hazelwood Carter. She was of the Baptist faith had retired from DuPont in Martinsville with approximately 30 years of service.
Ms. Cooper is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Jan Cooper of Archdale, North Carolina; two granddaughters, Denise Cooper Smith and April Cooper; two great-grandchildren; and one brother and sister-in-law, Clevis and Lillian Carter of Stuart; Four Nieces and One Nephew.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Bernard Handy officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens.
