Mrs. Margie May Wolfe Davis

Mrs. Margie May Wolfe Davis, 94, of Mount Airy, went to be with her Lord and Savior from her home on Monday, September 18, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Surry County on May 27, 1923 to the late Christopher William Wolfe and Bertie McCann Wolfe. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother, and friend who will be dearly missed. Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Marlene Davis Nance; three sons and daughters-in-law, Guenther Erwin Davis and wife Linda, Eric Gustave Davis and wife Barbara, and Gerard Fredric “Freddy” Davis and wife Pam; grandchildren, Kelli Nance, Amy Davis, Peter Davis, Robin Barger and Brian, Freddy Davis, II and Kadeana, Drew Davis, Chris Davis and Serena, Kim Bullins and David, Steven Davis, Heather Marsh and John, Liz Davis, Dawn Chamblee, and Samuel Davis; 20 great-grandchildren; 8 great great-children; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Woodrow Davis; a sister, Leva Wolfe Collins; a brother, Howard Newton Wolfe; and a son-in-law, Rodney Kyle Nance. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 4:00 Pm at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy with Rev. Chris Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. The family would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to the hospice care givers, Angel, Anita, and Tina.
