Mrs. Margie Frances Cave Joyce

Mrs. Margie Frances Cave Joyce, 85, of Mt. Airy passed away Thursday, March 09, 2017 at her daughters home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Surry County on March 4, 1932 to the late William Harrison and Edna Hodges Cave. Mrs. Joyce retired from Renfro and was a member of Westside Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Danny Danley of Mt. Airy; a son, Tony Perry Joyce of North Wilkesboro; grandchildren and spouses, James and Elizabeth Danley of Statesville, Chanda and Jason Cagle of Ararat, VA; greatgrandchildren, Summer, Rebecca, Jamie, and Rose; a sister, Annie Lee Leatherman of Yadkinville; a brother, George Cave of Dobson; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, James Perry Joyce; sisters, Naomi Hudsteth, Myrtle Fowler, and Ruby Mason; brothers, Jim Cave, Leo Cave, and Benny Cave. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Stone officiating. Burial will follow in Westside Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
