Mrs. Margie Lee Sutphin Phillips

Mrs. Margie Lee Sutphin Phillips, age 88 of Greenville, SC, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, SC. Mrs. Phillips was born in Surry County, May 12, 1919 to Ruff and Emma Williams Sutphin. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Porter Phillips, Jr. and wife Barbara of Greenville, SC; grandsons, Todd Phillips of Mayalasia and Brian Phillips of Greer, SC and a sister, Claire Anderson of Thomasville. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her husband, Porter Gray Phillips, Sr.; sisters, Gladys Niston, Ruby Sutphin, Opal Brim and Fannie McKnight; and by brothers, Hoston Sutphin, Russell Sutphin, and Roger Sutphin. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 30, 2007 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel of Mt. Airy conducted by Rev. Tommy Floyd. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 7-9 PM Saturday night at Moody Funeral Home.
