Mrs. Margietta Light Holt, age 53 of Westfield, North Carolina, passed away Monday, August 19, 2013 at her home. She was born in Patrick County on September 19, 1959 to the late L.D. and Magalene Allen Light. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Holt was preceded in death by a son, Michael Darell Holt. She was of the Baptist faith and had worked as a CNA at the Landmark Center for 8½ years. She loved her dog, Boo, and she was a big fan of the Twilight Series, being on "Team Edward". She was raised by Carlene and Junior Inman of Stuart, and the late Myrtle Rose Light, who were all like parents to her.
Mama, we just wanted you to know that we treasure all our memories, how close we were, and that we have tried to do everything you wanted. We will miss you, we love you, and we will make sure you will live on through us and your beautiful grandgirls. Love, Teaia and Tonya.
Mrs. Holt is survived by her husband of 35 years, Leonard Holt of the home; two daughters and a son-in-law, Teaia Nicole and Joseph Harley Swisher of Dry Pond and Tonya Rose Holt of the home; two granddaughters, Gabriella Rose Swisher and Danica Leigh Swisher; two sisters, Judy Hutchens and Carol Light, both of Stuart; a brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Malissa Light of Woolwine; a special uncle, Paul Light of Stuart; and a special friend, Barbara Brown of Stuart.
Funeral services for Mrs. Holt will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Tommy Nichols and Pastor Jerry Whitlow officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and at other times at the home.
