Mrs. Maria Ann Bowman

Mrs. Maria Ann Bowman, age 51 of Stuart, passed away Monday, January 17, 2011 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina. She was born in New Castle, Delaware on October 25, 1959, and was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Sidwell Pritchard. Mrs. Bowman was a member of Lawsonville Church of God, had been a former member of the Order of Isshin Ryer Karate Club in Elkton, Maryland, and was a devoted wife and mother.
Mrs. Bowman is survived by her husband of 31 years, Calvin Bowman of the home; three sons, Kevin Bowman, Aaron Bowman and Allen Bowman, all of Stuart; five step-grandchildren; her father, Curtis Robert Pritchard of New Castle, Delaware; two brothers, Curt Pritchard and Paul Pritchard, both of New Castle; and one sister, Nora Sposoto of North East, Maryland.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bowman will be held Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Ricky Brewer officiating. Burial will be private.
