Mrs. Marie Marsh Harris

Mrs. Marie Marsh Harris, 68, of Winston Salem passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Kate B Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston Salem. She was born in Surry County on January 29, 1948 to the late, Jim and Hassie McCraw Marsh. Mrs. Harris retired from Wachovia and was a member of Community Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Fred Otto Harris of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Tony G. and Suzanne Marshall of Clemmons; grandchildren, Madison Marshall, Megan Marshall, and Matthew Wright all of Clemmons; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lenwood and Shelby Marsh, Bobby Marsh and Versie, and Orene Marsh all of Mt. Airy; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by two sisters, Woolsie Badgett and Margaret Pack, and a brother Otis Marsh. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday January 30, 2017 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Community Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 AM until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to very special friends, Ana Miller, Karen Nifong, Mike and Brenda Gray, Bill Vargas and family, Danny Adkins, and all the many wonderful friends throughout the community for the visits, care and love shown throughout Mrs. Harris’s illness and also a special thanks to Forsyth Cancer Center and Winston Salem Hospice for the exceptional care given to Mrs. Harris and the family during this difficult time.
