Mrs. Martha Jane Dalton DeHart

Mrs. Martha Jane Dalton DeHart, age 59 of Westfield, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was born in Stokes County, North Carolina on October 13, 1954 to the late William Glenn and Nettie Irene Gray Dalton. In addition to her parents, Mrs. DeHart was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Dalton. She was a member of Collinstown Presbyterian Church, had been a nurse for 41 years, and was involved in Cub Scouts for over 25 years.
Mrs. DeHart is survived by her husband, Jimmy DeHart of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Christopher William and Stacy DeHart of Westfield; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Shelby Dalton of Spencer, Virginia, and Bobby and Faye Dalton, Carroll and Shirley Dalton, David and Pam Dalton, all of Westfield; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Monnie Johnson of King, North Carolina.
Funeral services for Mrs. DeHart will be held Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Collinstown Presbyterian Church with Pastor Shaun Draughn officiating. Burial will follow in the Dalton Family Cemetery at Stateline Primitive Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, and at other times at the home of her son, Christopher DeHart at 1185 Babe Gray Road in Westfield. If desired, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Charmaine Atkins, P.O. Box 10, Claudville, Virginia 24076.
