Mrs. Mary Nell Lariscy Bryant

Mrs. Mary Nell Lariscy Bryant, age 78, of Mt. Airy, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017, at the Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Bryant was born in Screven County, GA, on October 25, 1938, to Sutton Dean and Nellie Mae Mock Lariscy. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by all her family and many friends. Mrs. Bryant was retired from Insteel Inc. Among those who will always cherish her memory are her sons and daughters-in-law, James Bryant, Jr. and wife Lisa; and Steven and Swansa Bryant; grandchildren, Brittni Bryant and husband, Vernon; Jacob Bryant and wife Kim; and John Brady; her precious great grandchildren, Jaden and Emily; a brother, Rufus Lariscy; and sisters-in-law, Evelyn Burnsett, Mozelle Cresto, Gail Jaynes and Dannie Avers. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her husband, James “J.B.” Bryant, Sr.; sisters, Shirley Thigpen, Miriam McElveen, and June Marcham; and brothers, David, John, Daniel and Larry Lariscy. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Oakdale Cemetery by Rev. Darren Slate. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4:00 to 6:00 at Moody Funeral Home. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of RidgeCrest and Central Continuing Care for the wonderful care given to Mrs. Bryant during her stays there.
