Mrs. Mary Lucille Jarrell Davis

Mrs. Mary Lucille Jarrell Davis, 93, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Surry County on April 17, 1918 to the late James Walter and Maggie Lou Lowe Jarrell. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, Donna Shepherd of Mount Airy, Jack and wife Linda Davis of Dobson and Jimmy and wife Pam Davis also of Mount Airy; two grandchildren, Brian Badgett and Jamie Davis; a step-grandson, Brad and wife Merry Alice Davis; four great-grandchildren, Christopher and wife Savannah Badgett, Alex Badgett and fiancé, Kelly Kidd and Madison Badgett and Tori Badgett; three step-great-grandsons, Bradley Davis, Braxton Davis and Barrett Davis; a sister, Louise Pullen of Yadkinville; several special nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Hassie Jarrell. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mr. Alonzo Lee Davis, Jr.; two sisters, Estelle Jarrell and Lula Mae Smoot and two brothers, Roger Jarrell and Woodrow Jarrell. Her funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Friday March 16, 2012 at Mountain View Baptist Church 8704 West Pine Street, Lowgap by Rev. John Kinder with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the special caregivers for their loving and compassionate care.
