Mrs. Mary Alice Radford Goard

Mrs. Mary Alice Radford Goard, age 65 of Patrick Springs passed away Sunday at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville. She was born on Nov. 24, 1941 in Floyd, VA to the late Robert and Catherine Underwood Radford. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, George Thomas Goard; one granddaughter, Shannon Nicole Hall; three sisters, Jean Fulk, Livia Ashely, Opal Ward; and one half brother, Junior Radford.
Surviving are three daughters and a son in law, Marlene Taylor of Patrick Springs, Shelby Jean and Russell Hall of Spencer, Kay Hammond of Patrick Springs; one son, George Russell Goard of Patrick Springs; 5 grandchildren; her step mother, Orpha Radford of Stuart; two sisters, Clynda Radford of Floyd, Frances Bourne of Danville, one brother, Charles Bernard Radford of Stuart; two half sisters, Beulah Yearout of Floyd, Rosa Todd of Patrick Springs; one step sister, Shirley Martin of Martinsville; and two half brothers, David Radford of Patrick Springs and Alvin Radford of Greensboro, NC.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 1, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Eric Kieselbach officiating. Burial will follow in the Goard Family Cemetery.
