Mrs. Mary Ruth Crotts Goodson

Mrs. Mary Ruth Crotts Goodson, 70, of Lowgap went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Carroll County, VA on January 29, 1946 to the late Theodore Bud and Media Edwards Crotts. Mrs. Goodson was a homemaker and was a member of Charity Baptist Church. She was a loving and kind hearted person that will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. She is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Mediann Goodson and fiancé Daniel Barker, Evelyn and Garrett Goodson all of Lowgap; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild due in March; two sisters, Nina Felts, Rebbie Callahan both of Lowgap; brother and sister-in-law, Darvel and Lennis Crotts of Lowgap,; many nieces and nephews; many special friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Goodson was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Cosby Goodson; sisters, Violet Hawks, Cecil Callahan, and Margaret Elizabeth Crotts; brothers, Monroe Crotts, Odell Crotts, and Jim Raymond Crotts; a brother-in-law, Douglas Felts. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 11, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Charity Baptist Church in Lowgap with the Rev. Darvel Crotts, the Rev. Darvel Daniel Crotts, and the Rev. Woody Flippen officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Charity Baptist Church in Lowgap.
