Mrs. Mary Annice Hill Hall

Mrs. Mary Annice Hill Hall, age 90, of Stuart, passed away Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born on Nov. 13, 1926 to the late Jesse E. Hill and Henrietta Dollarhite Hill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Clyde Hall; four sisters, Marie Goad, Edith “Teeny” Hudson, Iva Hubbard, Marcella Hill; six brothers, Hobert, Glover, Benton, Vernon, George, and Millard “Buster Hill; and a great grandson, Chase Conner. Annice was a longtime member of Mary Horner Walker Presbyterian Church and had retired from J.P. Stevens.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Ed Belcher of Stuart; one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Jane Hall of Stuart; five grandchildren, Ricky Hall, Bryan Hall, Melissa Dorsett, Johnny Belcher, Miranda Lawson; seven great grandchildren, Tyler Hall, Sydnee Hall, Caitlyn Hall, Drayke Dorsett, Deagyn Dorsett, David Larry Lawson III, Chloe Belle Lawson; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 17, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Revs. Barry Clement and Bill Rountree officiating. Burial will follow in the Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
