Mrs. Mary Lou Hamm
Mrs.. Mary Lou Hamm, age 72, of Dobson, received her permanent angel wings on Monday, June 22, 2015 at 2:50 AM at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Family and friends were her passion, and they were loved. She went dancing on the shore, then to a beautiful garden to smell the flowers and watch her birds. She enjoyed her quilting, beading and sewing. She also was a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hamm, was born June 30, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Raymond and Donnelda Rose Wood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents Harvey Perriee Rose and Marie Rose; and one brother, Larry Dean Wood. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Charles Anthony "Chuck" Hamm, of the home; Daughters and son-in-law, Shanon Hamm Moncus and Michael Moncus, of Dobson and Donnelda Jessi Yvette Hamm, of Dobson; Son and daughter-in-law Charles and Shannon Bingman of Mount Airy; Grandchildren, Josh Bingman, Jessica Bingman, Taylor Bingman and Cara Leigh Rose Scott; A great grandchild, Hadley Rose Bingman; Sister, Saundra Wood of Dobson; Brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Shirley Stanley of Dobson and Raymond and Nancy Wood, of Jonesville.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson. The Funeral will be Thursday, June 25, 2015 , at 11:00 AM in The Moody-Davis Chapel, With Reverend Roger Reynolds and Reverend Frankie Marion, officiating. Burial will follow in the Bear Creek Church Cemetery. The family wishes to express their thanks to her loving caregivers, Aleisha Ardner and Nellie Rodriguez, as well as Mountain Valley Hospice.
