Mrs. Mary Frances Branch Joyce

Mrs. Mary Frances Branch Joyce, age 77, of Mt. Airy, NC passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at her home. She was born in Surry Co. on April 23, 1938 to the late Howard William and Anna Vivian Badgett Branch. She was a member of Day Springs Baptist Church, and was retired from Quality Mills in Mt. Airy, and worked in the family business with her husband “Westside Memorials” for over 32 years. Surviving are her husband of 61 years Fletcher “Red” Joyce Jr. of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law Robin Joyce and Fiancé Jim Cox of Roanoke, VA; Crystal and Junior Potts of Mt. Airy, NC; son and daughter-in-law Tony and Cindy Joyce of Mt. Airy; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister-in-law Pat Branch of Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Curtis Branch. Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, February 19, 2016 at Day Springs Baptist Church with entombment to follow in the Blues Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Roger Pickett will officiate the services. The family will receive friends at Day Springs Baptist Church on Friday from 1:00 PM until the time of her service at 2:00 PM. The family would like to give special thanks to the doctors at Forsyth Medical Center and also to the Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care for the love and care given to his wife and their mother.
