Mrs. Mary Lea Edwards King

Mrs. Mary Lea Edwards King, age 57, of Mt. Airy, passed away Friday, July 29, 2016, at Baptist Hospital. Mrs. King was born in Carroll County on March 25, 1959 to Ruben Clinton and Leota Elizabeth Tate Edwards. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and dear sister who will be dearly missed by all her family and many friends. Surviving is her devoted husband, Paul King; her children, Jessica Horton and husband Allen; Michael King and wife Jennifer and Beth Martin and husband Keith; her precious grandchildren, Laken Barnes and husband Chase, Brady Horton, Eli Horton, Destiny Martin and Kamron Martin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy Ann and Jerry Johnson, Barbara Jo McMillian and Don Marsh, Linda Mae and Michael Goins; and a brother, Jerry Edwards. In addition to her parents, Mrs. King was preceded in death by a brother, Clinton Edwards. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Tony Holder and Rev. Roland McCraw. Burial will follow in the Edwards Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home.
