Mrs. Mary Magdalene Spencer Senter

Resting in the arms of our Lord, Mrs. Mary Magdalene Spencer Senter, age 90 of Lambsburg, VA, passed away at the home of her daughter, Friday, February 17, 2012. She was the wife of the late Emmett Senter. Mrs. Senter was born on June 7, 1921 to the late William Anderson and Melinda Belle Hawks Spencer. She was a loving mother and grandmother, great grandmother and a faithful servant of the Lord. Mrs. Senter was a member of Fellowship Tabernacle Church of Lambsburg. Mrs. Senter is survived by a daughter, Mary Edith Smith of Lambsburg; two grandchildren and spouses, Angela Dawn Bryant and husband, Blain, and William Adam Smith and wife, Tracy, all of Lambsburg, VA; three great-grandchildren, Drew Bryant, Joshua Smith and Landon Smith all of Lambsburg and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Senter was preceded in death by seven sisters, Reba Combs, Abbie Melton, Vergie Surratt, Cartie Daniel, Ruth Moxley, Cecil Snow and Annie Spencer; and two brothers, Reece and Aaron Spencer Funeral services wil be held 11:00 am Monday, February 20, 2012 at Fellowship Tabernacle conducted by Rev. Michael Combs. Burial will follow in the Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Sunday at Moody Funeral Home Chapel where her body will remain until carried to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
