Mrs. Mary Pennix Taylor

Mrs. Mary Pennix Taylor, 92 of Mt. Airy passed away Friday December 9, 2011 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Taylor was born in Surry County on November 20, 1919 to the late John Winfield and Etta Estella Byrd Pennix. She was retired from Renfro and was a member of Haymore Memorial Baptist Church. Mrs. Taylor is survived by a son, John Taylor of Kernersville; two sisters, Gertie Key of High Point and Patricia Younger of Mt. Airy; a brother, Roy Pennix of Mt. Airy; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, Jack William Taylor; a sister, Margie Hicks; two brothers, Wade and Harry Pennix. Funeral services will be held Monday December 12, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Haymore Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Robert McCrary and Rev. Sammy Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church Monday from 1:00 PM until time of the service. Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
