Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Harris Truesdale

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Harris Truesdale, age 97 of Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018. She was born March 26, 1920 in Surry County to the late Major Garfield and Rose Emma Todd Harris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Clyburn Truesdale; her brothers, Johnny Harris and Odell Harris; her sisters, Ruth Haney, Opal Hodges, Lily Harris and Olene Harris. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tommie Lou and John Edwards; her grandchildren, John Edwards Jr. and his wife Dondra, and Robert Edwards; and three great grandchildren, Will Edwards, Walker Edwards and John Luke Hedden-Chai. There will be a memorial service Friday, March 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Highland Park Baptist Church with Dr. Darrell Tate officiating.
