Mrs. Mary Louise Ramey Wall

Mrs. Mary Louise Ramey Wall, age 87, of Mount Airy, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, January 14, 2018 at Surry Community Health and Rehab surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Surry County on July 1, 1930 to the late Otis Llewellyn and Lillie Mae Estes Ramey. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who will be dearly missed by all that knew her. Her proudest accomplishment was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Bannertown Baptist Church. She served as pianist and organist at many area churches as a testament to her love and dedication to the Lord and music. Left to cherish her memory are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Ginger Sechrist, Stephanie and Joe Scales, and Julie and Greg Perkins; a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Jennifer Wall; eight grandchildren, Darren and Amanda Sechrist, Jordon and Crystal Wall, Bradley Wall, Madison Easter, Hillary Scales, Tyler Scales, Owen Perkins, Olivia Perkins; and three great-grandchildren, Connor Sechrist, Carlee Sechrist, and Lily Wall; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ms. Wall was preceded in death by a sister, Minnie Frances Ramey Shockley; and two brothers, William “Bill” Otis Ramey and Ernest Jimmy Ramey. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 3:00PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Rev. Monte Mitchell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:30 to 3pm. The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to the staff of Surry Community Health and Rehab for all of their love and care to Louise during her stay.
