Mrs. Maude Edwards Jones

Mrs. Maude Edwards Jones, age 90 of Westfield, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Golden Living Nursing Center. Mrs. Jones was born in Surry County on December 15, 1922 to Hasten and Flarey Hawks Edwards. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed. She was a member of Woodville Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Billy Ray Jones of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Jim Thomas of Westfield; a son and daughter-in-law, Rickie Jones and Donna Mankins of Ararat, VA; grandchildren, Sarah Jones, Joshua Jones and Tommy Jones; step grandchildren, Kevin Puckett and wife Heather, Denise Lubliner and husband Jason; great grandchildren, Trent Cooke, Rebekah Moss, Gabriel Moss and Wesley Jones; step great grandchildren, Kash Puckett, Nicholas Lubliner and Lincoln Puckett; and special nieces that Mrs. Jones raised as her own children, Faye Tate, Mary Goins, Nellie Kilby and Betty Goins. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by all her brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Keith Love. Burial will follow in Woodville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 Saturday night. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
