Mrs. Mildred Hawks Edwards

Mrs. Mildred Hawks Edwards age 72, widow of of Mr. Oscar Edwards of 11050 Hwy 52, Rockwell, NC and formerly of Mt. Airy, NC passed away Monday, August 6, 2012 in Rockwell, NC. She was born April 8, 1940 in Carroll County, VA to the late Dexter and Daisy Hawks Hawks. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and was retired from Brown Wooten Hosiery. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Katie and Bud Cagle Rockwell, four sons and two daughters-in-law, Michael and Amy Edwards, Mt. Airy, Terry Edwards, Rockwell,, Timmy and Dorothy Edwards, Lowgap, and Dave Edwards, Mt. Airy, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, a sister, Margie Tate, Mt. Airy, "special niece" and husband, Shirley ad Frank Wolfe, Yadkinville, In addition to her husband, Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by three sisters, Myrtle Hawks, Margaret Edwards and Lora Hawks and three brothers, Clinton Hawks, Chester Hawks and Rector Hawks. Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Sandy Ridge Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Randy Jones. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Wednesday at Moody Funeral Home. Moody Funeral Services of Mt. Airy is assisting the Edwards Family.
