Mrs. Minnie Dalton Hensley

Mrs. Minnie Dalton Hensley, age 73 of Claudville, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2008 at the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was born in Floyd County on September 8, 1934 to the late J. Whitfield and Laurie Nester Dalton. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hensley was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Moore; two sisters, Edna Ruth Byrd and Nellie Marie Bowman; and three brothers, Gordon Andrew Dalton, Ernest Dalton and Calvin Dalton.
Mrs. Hensley is survived by her husband of 52 years, Harrison Hensley of the home; one son, Lewis Bowman of Patrick Springs, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one sister, Cassie Wise of Pocahontas, Virginia.
A graveside service for Mrs. Hensley will be held Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hensley Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Moody Funeral Home, P.O.
