Mrs. Miriam Harris Boyd

Mrs. Miriam Harris Boyd, age 80 of Woolwine, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at R. J. Reynolds Patrick County Memorial Hospital in Stuart. She was born in Patrick County on July 18, 1926 to the late Stowell and Gypsy Cockram Harris. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by one daughter, Miriam Oneda Manns, and one daughter-in-law, Sceney Boyd.
Mrs. Boyd is survived by her husband, Ranzy Walter Boyd of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Kenneth Perry of Floyd; two sons and daughters-in-law, Nash and Brenda Boyd of Woolwine and R. W. Boyd of Stuart; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Carrie Fralin of Bassett.
Funeral services for Mrs. Boyd will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Jim Churchwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Boyd-Belcher Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, and at other times at the home of her son, Nash Boyd, 1495 Lee Elgin Road, Woolwine.
