Mrs. Myra S. Handy

Mrs. Myra Sebastian Handy, age 81 of Patrick Springs, passed away Friday, October 12, 2012 at her home. She was born in North Wilkesboro, N.C. on September 18, 1931 to the late Truman Arthur and Prudie Adams Sebastian. She had worked in the furniture business and was a member of Goodwill Baptist Church in Patrick Springs. She dearly loved her church family and her senior citizen friends.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Handy was preceded in death by her husband; Hudell Handy and several brothers and sisters.
Surviving Mrs. Handy are three daughters; Mary Branham of Bassett, VA, Pat Merriman of Patrick Springs, and Becky & Mike Cornett of Patrick Springs, three sons; Gary & Helen Handy of Windsor, N.C., Jr. "Red" & Mary Handy of Bassett and Eddie & Debi Handy of Marion, VA, Twelve Grandchildren, Twelve Great Grandchildren and a brother; Troy Sebastian of North Wilkesboro, N.C.
Funeral services for Mrs. Handy will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday October 15, 2012 at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. David Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home and other times at the home on Mt.
