Mrs. Nancy Caudill Brannock

Mrs. Nancy Jane Caudill Brannock, 95, formerly of Sparta, peacefully passed on to Heaven in the hands of her precious grandchildren, Michael Brannock and Sheena Green on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Olde Knox Commons in Huntersville. She was born in Alleghany County on November 2, 1916 to the late Riley and Amanda Jane Sanders Caudill. She is survived by her children, Paul and wife Nelda Brannock, of Mannsville, OK, Mary and husband Paul Owens of East Bend, Ruth Maines of Sparta and J. Dean Brannock of Abingdon, VA; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brannock was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Brannock; 2 daughters, Ruby Rupe and Virginia Semones; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday December 22, 2011 in Crab Creek Cemetery in Sparta by Rev. Tim Stamper. There will be no formal visitation. Special thanks to the staff of Olde Knox Commons for their loving, compassionate care.
