Mrs. Nancy Ann Hardy Davis

Mrs. Nancy Ann Hardy Davis, age 72, of Dobson, NC passed away on Thursday evening August 22, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. She was born in Surry County on November 7, 1940 to the late Charlie Martin Hardy and the late Jennie McKinney Hardy. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Claude Allen Davis; one brother Dewey Hardy; three half sisters and three half brothers. She was retired from Proctor Silex with Thirty Three years of service, and was a member of New Home Church of Christ; Nancy was such a loving and caring mother who loved her daughter Peggy so much. She loved working in her garden each year; she will be missed by all her friends and neighbors, Nancy enjoyed going out to lunch with her sister-in-laws Arlene Davis and Pauline Davis weekly, and talking with special friends on the phone daily. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law Peggy and Billy Murray of Dobson; brother and sister-in-law Charlie and Peggy Hardy of Siloam; Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday August 25, 2013 at New Home Church of Christ with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Brother Tim Smith will conduct the services. Her body will remain at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson until carried to the church to lie in state 30 min. prior to the services. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
