Mrs. Nancy Emma Fain

Mrs. Nancy Emma Fain, age 87 of Stuart, passed away Monday, November 16, 2009 at her home. She was born in Patrick County on November 21, 1921 to the late Sandy and Wilma Kansas Conner Handy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fain was preceded in death by her husband, James Irvin Fain; one son, Raymond Fain; two sisters, Lucille Rison and Nellie Swiney; and four brothers, Ben, Daniel, Oscar and Fred Handy. She had retired from Pannill Knitting and was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Fain is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Dovie and Frank Spencer of Patrick Springs; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph and Sue Fain of Stuart and Charlie and Carol Fain of Stuart; seven grandchildren, Frankie Spencer, Teresa Lawson, Jackie Clark, Doug Fain, R. J. Fain, Jason Fain and Pansy Joyce; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Funeral services for Mrs. Fain will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Bernard Handy and Rev. Rick Randall officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
