Mrs. Nancy Draper Hazelwood

Mrs. Nancy Draper Hazelwood age 86 of Stuart, Virginia, passed away at Central Continuing Caring Nursing Facility in Mt. Airy. She was born in Henry County on October 28, 1924 to the late Wertie Horton Draper and Myrtle Wells Draper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmit Lee Hazelwood; a son Barry Hazelwood; and a daughter-in-law, Sheila Hazelwood. She was a longtime member of the New Hope United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Hazelwood is survived by a son, Richard "Ricky" Hazelwood of Martinsville, VA; a daughter and son-in-law, Elecia Gammons and husband, Tim of Claudville, VA; a daughter-in-law, Mary Ramos Hazelwood of San Antonio, TX; two grandsons, Justin Gammons of Mount Airy, NC and Josh Gammons of Roanoke, VA; a great grandson, Bowen Gammons and a brother, Ralph Draper and wife, Margie of Martinsville, VA.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:00pm at New Hope United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Hundley and Rev. Jim Churchwell officiating.
