Mrs. Nancy Lou White Hutchens

Mrs. Nancy Lou White Hutchens, age 68, of Elkin, NC formerly of Dobson, NC passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017. She was born in Surry Co. on March 22, 1949 to the late Arvil Edgar and Ella Launa Marion White. Mrs. Hutchens was married to the late Dennis Keith Hutchens. She was retired from Adam Millis and was a member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Ray White. Surviving are her two daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and Chuck Atkins of Dobson; Joy Diane and Brian Key of Siloam, NC; four grandchildren, and one on the way, Ashley Shumate, Brittany Marsh, Cody Atkins, Tyler Holloway; four great-grandchildren, Kyleigh Shumate, Elizabeth Marsh, Ella Marsh, Elijah Marsh; one sister, Mittie Sue White; brothers and sisters-in-law, Arvil Dale and Robin White, Rev. Tony and Reba White. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday October 26, 2017 at Dobson First Baptist Church, with burial in the Welcome View Baptist Church Cemetery. Her body will remain at Moody-Davis Funeral Home until carried to Dobson First Baptist Church where the family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time of her service. Rev. Tony White and Rev. Barry O’Neal will officiate the service. The family request in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Mental Health Association, 301 E. Washington St., Suite 111 Greensboro, NC 27401.
