Mrs. Nannie C. Boyd

Mrs. Nannie Clayton Hall Boyd, age 91 of Meadows of Dan passed away Saturday morning at her home. She was born on Nov. 11, 1918 in Patrick County to the late Herman Hall and Nannie Wood Hall. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Lee Boyd; two sisters, Stella Ruth Hall, Gracie Hylton; a granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Asbury; a great granddaughter, Addison Joyal; and a son in law, Harold Bruce Belcher.
Surviving are two daughters and a son in law, Shirlien Belcher of Martinsville, Ruby and Dennis Asbury of Eden, NC; one son and daughter in law, Sheldon and Wanda Boyd of Hopewell; Nine grandchildren, Beverly Woody and husband, Mark, Kim Boyd, Cori Spain, Angel McQuade and husband, Paul, David Asbury and wife, Amy, Melissa Joyal and husband, Chris, Rebecca Dew and husband, Jeff, Anna Talley and husband, Brad, Michael Asbury; Nine Great Grandchildren, Adam Hughes and wife, Emily, Jessica Altice and husband, Brandon, Alexis Spain, Michael Dew, Joshua Dew, Caleb Dew, Charlotte Dew, Thomas Joyal, Mya Joyal; Three Great Great Grandchildren, Turner Altice, Lane Hughes, Logan Hughes; and one sister, Katherine Boyd of Roanoke.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Terry Martin and Rev. Robert Hargrove officiating. Burial will follow in the Boyd Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
