Mrs. Nellie M. Owens

Mrs. Nellie Mitchell Owens, age 80 of Bassett died Saturday, December 8, 2007 at Stanleytown Health Care Center in Bassett. She was born on November 11, 1927 to the late James Murray "Ran" Mitchell and Verda Jane Collins Mitchell. In additions to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wilson Owens. Mrs. Owens was a member of Fairway Baptist Church in Bassett.
Mrs. Owens is survived by a son, Terry Lee Owens of Lexington, NC and a brother, Lloyd Mitchell of Axton, VA.
A funeral service for Mrs. Owens will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at 11:00am at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart. Burial will follow in Stateline Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
