Mrs. Nelvra Susan Mayes Dozier

Mrs. Nelvra Susan Mayes Dozier, age 52, of Dobson, NC passed away on Sunday evening March 5, 2017 at her home. She was born in Surry County on August 8th, 1964 to the late Curtis Hover Mayes and to Hassie Moore Mayes Jarrell. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her husband Kenneth “Earl” Dozier of the home; one daughter Teshia Marie Smith of Mt. Airy; two sons Curtis Lee Slate, and Michael Rilee Slate of the home; two grandchildren Charlie Smith and Elizabeth Smith; her mother of Lowgap; two sisters Shirley Mayes Payne of Dobson, Nedra Mayes Edwards of Mt. Airy; one brother Dennis Mayes of Dobson. A Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday March 11, 2017 at Ladonia Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of her service. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Dozier family.
